Day 1
day 1 ARRIVE JO'BURG
On arrival at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport,
Transfer to your hotel.
Canadian and American passport holders do not need a visa to enter South Africa. However, a Tourist Visa is needed for your trip to Victoria Falls Zimbabwe, but it is purchased upon arrival in Victoria Falls. Overnight in Johannesburg.
Day 2
day 2 JO'BURG TO LODGE BORDERING KRUGER PARK
After an early breakfast, you will be met by your driver, who will take you to the Hazy View / Kruger Lodge. Arrive at your lodge and enjoy your lunch. After lunch, head for a safari in an open 4x4 vehicle. Savor your adventure and spot wildlife aided by directions from your spotter guide. The setting sun determines the time to return to your lodge. Overnight at your lodge near Kruger.
Day 3
day 3 WILDLIFE SAFARI TO SPOT THE BIG FIVE
A full day dedicated to spotting wildlife and enjoying the African Savannah in a 4x4 safari vehicle. You'll get enough time spotting the "Big Five" - which are lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. In addition there are cheetah, hippo and other wildlife, and not to forget over 300 species of birds. Your guides will ensure that you are able to spot the maximum wildlife or the most of any species that might interest you in particular.
Day 4
day 4 RETURN TO JO'BURG
After an early morning tea, coffee, and cookies, set off again for a game drive to get another glimpse of the flora and fauna of this incredible national park. Upon return, have your breakfast, then check out and transfer by road to Johannesburg. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel near Johannesburg Airport, or, if time permits, check in for your flight to Victoria Falls.
Day 5
day 5 JO'BURG TO VICTORIA FALLS BY FLIGHT
After breakfast, leave for Johannesburg airport for your flight to Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe side). Upon arrival proceed to clear Customs and Immigration. American and Canadian Passport Holders need to purchase a Tourist Visa upon arrival. Fees are to be paid in exact cash per person and will be confirmed before departure.
Upon exit, you will be met by our representative and assisted with transfer to your hotel lodge. The lodge is located near Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), nestling on the banks of the mighty Zambezi river within the periphery of the Zambezi National Park. Rest of the day at leisure to relax and explore the town nearby. Overnight at your lodge in Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe).
Day 6
day 6 VICTORIA FALLS TO BOTSWANA BY ROAD
After breakfast depart for Botswana for a full-day trip into Chobe. Just an hour away from Victoria Falls you can experience a completely different safari experience by enjoying a day in the Chobe National Park, located by Chobe River. Early departure from your Hotel and transfer to the Kazungula border post for your crossing into Botswana. On arrival, you need to pay the Botswana Tourism Levy fee (Approx. USD 30 cash per person). The transfer takes between 45 minutes and one hour. Upon arrival at the Zimbabwe border post, you will pass through the Customs and Immigration where your passport will be stamped.
Then set-off on a river cruise into the park, with an opportunity to see a host of waders and water birds along with the ever-present Crocodile and Hippos. Chobe is known for herds of large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink - Elephants and Buffalos are the more prominent ones. On the islands, Puku and Lechwe are often seen and on the banks, Kudu, Impala and Water Buck are common. Soft drinks and water are included on the boat. A buffet lunch is served at Chobe Safari Lodge, bordering the National Park. A complimentary drink, tea, and coffee are included with your lunch.After Lunch, guests head off on 4x4 safari vehicles for a Game Drive in Chobe National Park. Apart from a huge elephant population, Chobe hosts a diverse ecosystem and landscapes by the Chobe River.After your safari, return by late afternoon to your Victoria Falls Lodge. Overnight at your lodge in Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe).
Day 7
day 7 VICTORIA FALLS SIGHTSEEING (ZIMBABWE SIDE)
After breakfast, morning at leisure. Early afternoon enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls. Learn how the Falls were formed and the local customs and traditions associated with them. Named after the British Queen Victoria, these falls produce the largest sheet of falling water in the world. The falls are twice the height of Niagara Falls in North America and are located on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. One of the original natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls is a World Heritage Site. Known locally as 'The Smoke that Thunders' the falls are truly an awe-inspiring sight. Those interested can indulge in water sports as well. Plus there are excellent fishing opportunities, a terrifying bungee jump and amongst the best commercial whitewater rafting in the world. Your tour ends with a visit to the local art and crafts center. Return to your Lodge by late afternoon. Overnight Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
Day 8
day 8 VICTORIA FALLS TO JO'BURG FLIGHT - FLIGHT TO RETURN HOME
After breakfast, morning at leisure. Leave for the airport, to catch your flight to Johannesburg, to connect with your flight home.
