Day 1
day 1 CAIRO ARRIVAL
Arrival at Cairo International Airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 2
day 2 CAIRO SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast at hotel. Embark on a full day tour starting with the Great Pyramids of Giza - one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and initially standing at 146.5 metres (481 feet), it held the title of the tallest man-made structure in the world for more than 3,800 years! Located close by is the great Sphinx, dating back to 1400 BC! Also visit a papyrus museum and learn how paper was made since ancient times. Time permitting, visit a perfumery. After lunch, brush up on some history at the Egyptian Museum and possibly buy some souvenirs in the Khan-El-Khalili Bazaar. Later return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3
day 3 CAIRO TO ASWAN BY FLIGHT - NILE CRUISE
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport to take your flight to Aswan. On arrival, head for a sightseeing tour, starting with a visit to the Philae Temple. The graffiti left by priests and pilgrims at Philae include the last ancient hieroglyphic text that are still being studied, archeologists. Then head to the lofty Aswan Dam - built in the 1960s, the dam had a significant positive effect on the economy and culture of Egypt. Also see an unfinished Obelisque. After the tour, transfer to a port to board your boat for a Nile cruise. Dinner and overnight aboard the Nile cruise by Aswan.
Day 4
day 4 NILE CRUISE
Breakfast aboard the cruise boat. Sail to Kom Ombo, and visit the unique temple there, known for its 'double' design - meaning that the courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms were duplicated for two sets of gods. Thereafter you sail to Edfu for overnight.
Day 5
day 5 NILE CRUISE
Breakfast aboard the cruise boat. Today you visit the Edfu Temple. Located on the west bank of the Nile, Edfu is the site of the Ptolemaic Temple of Horus and an ancient settlement. Later sail to Luxor. On arrival, transfer from port to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Luxor.
Day 6
day 6 NILE CRUISE - LUXOR - HURGHADA
Breakfast at hotel & checkout. Today is dedicated to sightseeing in & around Luxor. Visit the Valley of Kings - known to contain 63 ancient rock-cut tombs and burial chambers that were excavated for the pharaohs and powerful nobles. Admire the three-layered Queen Hatshepsut Temple defined by a series of columns, and sculpture in relief inside. Then watch in awe the Colossi of Memnon. As the name suggests, these are two colossal stone statues of the Pharaoh, at a towering height of 18 m (60 ft) and weigh an estimated 720 tons each! Then head to the Karnak Temple complex that comprises of a mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other structures. Finish off your travel back in time with a visit to the Luxor temple complex which was once a legionary fortress and the home of the Roman government in the area. After the tour, transfer by coach, back to Hurghada. Overnight at your hotel in Hurghada.
Day 7
day 7 HURGHADA
Breakfast at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to perhaps explore local market on your own. There are some good options for dining and nightlife also. Overnight at your hotel in Hurghada.
Day 8
day 8 HURGHADA
Breakfast at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to perhaps indulge in some aquatic activities. Overnight at your hotel in Hurghada.
Optional: full day snorkeling tour among Red Sea Coral Reefs and colorful marine life, do more with banana boat ride and parasailing etc.
Day 9
day 9 HURGHADA - CAIRO DEPARTURE
Check out after breakfast. Transfer to Hurghada airport for your return flight, via Cairo.
