Day 1
day 1 YANGON ARRIVAL
Arrival at Yangon airport. Transfer to your hotel and check-in. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at your hotel in Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon.
Day 2
day 2 YANGON - HALF-DAY SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast at hotel, followed by a full day sightseeing tour. First head downtown, which is an eclectic mix of pagodas, monuments and colonial buildings. Walk around Sule Pagoda, City Hall, Victory Monument and some of the nearby colonial buildings. Sample some local tea and snacks at a local café. Next visit Kandawgyi Park - one of central Yangon’s greenest spots, with a vast lake and the Shwedagon Pagoda in the background – which you visit next.
You get to admire a Karaweik barge - a replica of the royal barge. Continue to Shwedagon Pagoda - the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar and it’s original structure is said to be built 2500 years ago. The 8-sided central stupa is 99 meters (324 feet) tall and gilded with gold leaf. The entire temple complex is quite vast and is surrounded by 64 smaller stupas. After the tour, return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 3
day 3 YANGON / HEHO – INLE LAKE BY MORNING FLIGHT
Breakfast at hotel. Depending on the flight timing, transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Heho. After having breakfast at hotel, you’ll be at leisure till you are transferred without a guide to Yangon airport for a morning departure flight to Heho. Upon arrival in Heho, transfer to Nyaung Shwe jetty, to take your boat to your hotel for check-in. Rest of the day at leisure amidst the scenic location in Inle Lake. Overnight at your hotel on Inle Lake.
Day 4
day 4 INLE LAKE FULL DAY TOUR
Breakfast at hotel, followed by a full-day tour of the Inle Lake area. Located at a height of 2,900 feet (880 m), the lake is one of the highest, and the second-largest freshwater lake in Myanmar. Board a private motorboat and enjoy the picturesque view, while passing by villages built on stilts over the lake, inhabited by the local Intha people. Witness fishermen use their legs to grasp the oar and row their boats – indeed a unique style! Also, see patches of floating gardens.
Next, visit Nga Phe Chaung Monastery, and continue to Hpaung Daw U Pagoda - the lake’s main sanctuary, which contains five sacred Buddha images covered in gold leaf. Learn about local crafts at the weaving village of Inpawkhone, and also see how cheroots (typical Burmese cigars) are made by hand. Return to your lake hotel for overnight stay.
Day 5
day 5 INLE LAKE (NYAUNG SHWE) – BAGAN BY DAY TIME BUS
Breakfast at hotel and later transfer to bus station to take your bus to Bagan. Enjoy the local countryside and some cuisine on the stopovers, as the journey can stretch to over 7 hours. For those looking for a quicker journey, flight options are available. Upon arrival in Bagan, transfer to your hotel for overnight stay. Bagan is an ancient city and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 6
day 6 FULL DAY BAGAN TEMPLE TOUR
Breakfast at hotel. Bagan is a spectacular plain stretching away from the Ayeyarwaddy River, dotted with thousands of 800-year old temple ruins. Visit Shwezigon Pagoda whose stupa’s elegant bell shape became a template for most stupas built thereafter in Myanmar. Gubyaukgyi Temple at Wetkyi-Inn boasts of a colorful painting about the previous life of Buddha.
Ananda Pahto is one of the finest, largest, best-preserved, and most revered of the Bagan temples. Gubyaukgyi Temple at Myinkaba is known for its well-preserved Stuccos 12th century. Manuha Temple enshrines the unusual combination of 3 seated and one reclining image Buddha. Shwesandaw Paya features stairways leading up from the square bottom terraces to the round base of the Stupa. Visit a workshop in a village to see the painstaking process of making and decoration of lacquerware. Round off the tour with a visit to a viewing area to witness the sunset among the many temples. Return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 7
day 7 BAGAN TO MANDALAY BY MORNING FLIGHT
Breakfast at hotel and transfer to Bagan airport for your flight to Mandalay – the last capital of Royal Burma. On arrival in Mandalay, transfer to hotel. Later head-off for a city tour. Located on the banks of the picturesque Irrawaddy River, Mandalay is still one of the largest cities in Myanmar and a cultural and spiritual center.
Visit Mahamuni Paya known for its gold leaf decoration and enroute also witness the laborious process of beating gold-leaf. Then head to Shwenandaw Kyaung that is built entirely of golden teak with intricate carving on the teak wood. From wood, head to Kyauktawgyi Paya to marvel at a seated Buddha statue, carved from a single block of marble. Finally, visit Kuthodaw Paya, known also as the world’s biggest book comprising 729 slabs of marble. Before returning to your hotel, visit Mandalay Hill and climb up the steps to experience panoramic views of the city and riverfront. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 8
day 8 MANDALAY TO SAIGON BY AIR
Breakfast at hotel. Depending on the flight timing, transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Ho Chi Minh City / Saigon. On arrival at Ho Chi Minh airport, and transfer to your hotel. Day free at leisure to explore bustling markets and sampling local iced coffee at one of the sidewalk cafés. Overnight at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, still popularly called Saigon.
Day 9
day 9 SAIGON - CU CHI TUNNELS & MEKONG DELTA
Breakfast at hotel, followed by a tour that includes a visit to Cu Chi Tunnels and the Mekong Delta area. The constricted Cu Chi Tunnels will leave you in amazement as to how humans survived in these conditions and fought a war. Then head to the Mekong Delta area and enroute have a local lunch. Cruise on a small boat and mingle with some locals on an island in the Mekong Delta area. Return back to Saigon by evening, overnight at your hotel.
Day 10
day 10 SAIGON - CYCLO & WATER PUPPET SHOW + DINNER CRUISE
Breakfast at hotel. First half of the day at leisure to explore local markets for shopping and enjoying local snacks and drinks. Later in the evening, you will witness a colorful puppet show performed on water as the stage and puppeteers controlling the puppets using long bamboo rods and string mechanism hidden beneath the water surface, accompanied with traditional music. Continue to the harbor by cyclo and traditional form of transportation that is a cycle-rickshaw with passenger seating in front. At the harbor board a cruise and enjoy panoramic views of Ho Chi Minh City illuminated at night. Enjoy a delectable Vietnamese dinner aboard the cruise boat. Later, return to your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 11
day 11 SAIGON TO HANOI BY FLIGHT
Breakfast at hotel. Then take a morning flight to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. On arrival, check-in at hotel. Later in the evening set out for a half-day walking tour. Pass through the narrow alley of Yen Phu village, visit an ancient Temple and witness how incense sticks are made. Also, see how the local shopkeepers scramble when a train passes through the tight alley. Then make a stop at the Temple of Literature, dedicated to Confucius, before stopping at Ngoc Son Temple (located on Jade Island & connected with a wooden red colored bridge) near the scenic Hoan Kiem Lake. Return to hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 12
day 12 HANOI – HALONG BAY CRUISE
Breakfast at hotel. Followed by a day filled with activities and an exciting overnight cruise. Transfer to Tuan Chau Marina Pier, stop enroute to witness how Vietnamese handicrafts are made. Board the cruise, check-in, and enjoy lunch on board while passing by an Hoa Cuong floating village. Highlight of the tour is exploring the renowned Halong Bay, passing by Soi Sim Beach & Coconut Three Island, before arriving at the area of Surprising Cave. Indulge in kayaking, swimming, or climb up to the mountain to get a panoramic view of Halong Bay at Titov Beach. Later head back to your boat for a sunset party followed by drinks & dinner. There is also an option of taking part in a cooking class or learning squid fishing. Overnight in your cabin aboard the cruise boat.
Day 13
day 13 HALONG BAY – HANOI
Breakfast aboard the cruise. Early risers can take a Tai Chi class on the sun-deck. Today you explore the natural geological wonder of Hang Sung Sot, popularly known as the Surprising Cave. Relax and bask on the sun-deck. Before returning to Tuan Chau Pier in Hanoi, have a farewell lunch aboard. On arrival at the pier, transfer to your hotel in Hanoi for overnight stay.

day 14 HANOI – MASSAGE
Breakfast at hotel. Today you will have a relaxing massage with mystical oriental lotions. Rejuvenate yourself for the next leg of the journey to Cambodia. Overnight at your hotel in Hanoi.
Day 15
day 15 HANOI DEPARTURE
Breakfast at hotel. Depending on the flight timing, transfer to the airport to catch your return flight.
